Yes! Electrolysis has been around since 1875 and is the only method of hair removal that works on all hair and skin types. It is a series of treatments to each individual hair follicle. Once the papilla (at the root of the hair) is completely sealed off from the blood supply a new hair will never grow again. You can help this process along by ceasing all current hair removal methods that tamper with the follicle and by maintaining a regular treatment schedule. 

  Most individuals feel a mild discomfort, that is more annoying than painful. However, this is also dependent upon the  tolerance level of each person. The setting used during your treatment is adjustable based on your comfort level and the energy required to epilate (remove) the hair. For sensitive areas  topical numbing creams are available behind the counter at  your local pharmacy.   

There are many factors that directly affect how long it will take to permanently remove your unwanted hair. How quickly you finish will depend greatly on your dedication to the process. Puberty, menopause, hormonal imbalances and even some medications are all factors that make proper hair removal through electrolysis a process. The complex nature of hair growth, your dedication to the process, and the setting you can tolerate all control the number of sessions require to reach your personal preference for hair removal. Generally, treatments are noticeable within 3 months, but can take an undetermined amount of time to reach permanent results. 

Electrolysis can be performed on the following areas:

• Full face including eyebrows, upper lip, chin, and cheeks 
• Ears 
• Neck
• Chest
• Arms
• Underarms
• Hands and fingers
• Stomach
• Bikini line
• Legs
• Feet and toes
• Shoulders and Back

In the area being treated, all of the hairs to be treated do not grow all at one time. Hair grows in a cycle where the hairs growing in will be ones that had not appeared in previous treatments. If you have been removing the hair by waxing, threading or tweezing this will cause the hair to become coarser and more deeply rooted.  These strong coarse hairs will require several treatments to seal off the blood supply. 

• I require a minimum 6 hours notice for cancellation and/or reschedule, if notice comes in less than 6 hours before your booked appointment time, I will ask that you pay 50% of your scheduled appointment, as it is not always possible for me to schedule someone else in your place. 

• A no show for any service booked will pay for the missed service via e-transfer before another appointment is scheduled. 

• If you’re more than 10 minutes late, I will need to reschedule and it will be considered a missed appointment.
